The District-level Environment Impact Assessment Authority has given its approval to five quarries in the district.
The authority that met with District Collector Pravin Kumar in the chair gave environmental clearance to road metal and building stone and manufacturing sand quarries at Mabupaka in Ravikamatam mandal, rough stone and gravel at quarries at Garnikam and at Bayyaram (Kasimkota), colour granite quarry at Gaduturu (G.Madugula) and road metal quarry at Konchangi in Anakapalle mandal.
