A large outbreak of coronavirus is observed in China and among the areas where many cases have occurred is Fujian Province. In the city, 152 cases of local transmission have been reported in five days.

These cases also directly affect the marble area, as Fujian Province is particularly known for its marble imports and exports. There are many granite and marble factories in this Chinese province and of course the port of Xiamen, which is an important trading post.

These cases may therefore affect the operation of imports and exports of marble and it remains to be seen to what extent there will be consequences in this area.

This is the latest outbreak in China, followed by in Jiangsu, Guangdong and Yunnan. Events and celebrations for the Mid-Autumn Festival have been canceled.

In some cities a partial lockdown has been imposed, public spaces and schools have been closed. As a result of this upsurge, China’s largest trade fair was reduced, among other things, to five days from 15 days.
