Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for Greeks Abroad (Diaspora Hellenes) Terens Quick has recently visited People’s Republic of Congo, to find a solution for the greek properties nationalisation in the country.
During his meeting with his counterpart Emmanuel Kasongo, except for the greek properties issue, he discussed new fields of cooperation, such as a business mission in P.R.of Congo with diaspora’s contribution. According to the Greek Minister, the marble sector would be really interesting. “Congo has a lot of high quality marble, but there is no handling know-how. They asked me for Greeks to invest in this part”, he mentioned and then added: “I pointed out that Greece of democracy and discussion, that has built the ancient culture with marble also, that knows how to cut and carve marble till today, is always open to beneficial cooperations”.
