A new “city of marble” will be completed in Egypt over the next year. President Abdel Fatah al Sisi announced this on the occasion of the inauguration of a new industrial complex for the production of phosphates and fertilizers. “Next year we will open a new city of marble, which will contribute to the production of around 30 million cubic meters a year,” said the head of state.
Last October, Al Sisi reached an agreement with the Italian company Pedrini for the construction of an industrial marble city located in the Galala area, on the shores of the Red Sea. The project includes seven factories for the production of marble, a plant for the production of equipment and a training institute.
