The marble town of Rajasthan, Kishangarh, is going to get air connectivity to Delhi from October 8. This will also enable the people of country’s capital with the holy town Ajmer and Pushkar. The representatives of Spicejet on Tuesday met chief minister Vasundhara Raje to make the official launch of the bookings by presenting her the first ticket at her residence.
The marble city of Kishangarh marks the operator’s eighth destination under the regional connectivity scheme. The airline was awarded the route under UDAN II.
The first ticket of the flight was handed over to the chief minister to announce the official launch of the flight. A senior officer of SpiceJet said that the flight will not only give the traders of marble a direct connectivity to Kishangarh but it will also enable them to visit Pushkar and Ajmer for their holy trip.
“It will be a daily flight which will nearly take an hour,” said an officer.
“I would like to congratulate SpiceJet for connecting Kishangarh to Delhi and also to rest of India and abroad via Delhi. This is the second sector in Rajasthan to be connected under UDAN by SpiceJet after Jaipur- Jaisalmer-Jaipur,” Raje said in her official statement.
