Exports of stone products to Iran soared in the first five months of this year, ending September 21, when Iran exported 2.465.981 million tonnes of stone, stone, gypsum and sand products worth $ 1.307.706.246 billion to 40 countries.

Iran exported the above products in the first five months of 2020 to Iraq, Armenia, Oman, Qatar, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Pakistan, Kuwait , Georgia, Korea, Russia, Sudan, Ivory Coast, Hong Kong, Germany, Spain, Italy, Vietnam, Taiwan, Greece, Jordan, Malaysia, Thailand, Poland, Albania, Egypt, Georgia , Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Kenya, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Tanzania. Meanwhile, China, Iraq and India are the main stone export destinations of Iran.

As the world’s leading exporters of sand and stones, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Australia and France account for 70% of the global market in this sector, as Latifi added.
