Η Ινδία κατά την έξαρση της πανδημίας το 2020 κατάφερε να αυξήσει την αξία εξαγωγων σε σχέση με το 2019, στα κεραμικά κατά +17,56% και τους γρανίτες κατά +2,35% ενώ αντίθετα στα μάρμαρα σημείωσε πτώση κατά -6,77%. Το πρώτο τρίμηνο 2021 η μείωση των κρουσμάτων του COVID-19 έδωσαν ώθηση στις ινδικές βιομηχανίες οδηγώντας σε αύξηση των εξαγωγών σε σχέση με το πρώτο τρίμηνο 2020.
Στον πίνακα που ακολουθεί βλέπουμε τις μεταβολές (%) στην αξία και την ποσότητα των συνολικών εξαγωγών μαρμάρου, γρανιτών και κεραμικών της Ινδίας μεταξύ των πρώτων τριμήνων 2020 – 2021 και του τελευταίου τριμήνου 2020 και του πρώτου τριμήνου 2021:
Η Ινδία είναι η μεγαλύτερη εξαγωγέας γρανιτών στον κόσμο. Στα κεραμικά, η ραγδαία αύξηση των εξαγωγών τα τελευταία χρόνια την οδήγησε στη τέταρτη θέση μεταξύ των κυριότερων προμηθευτών παγκοσμίως. Οι εξαγωγές μαρμάρου, σε σχέση με τους γρανίτες και τα κεραμικά είναι πολύ χαμηλότερες.
Κύριος προορισμός των εξαγωγών γρανίτη της Ινδίας είναι η Κίνα, οι Η.Π.Α. και το Βιετνάμ. Στα κεραμικά είναι η Σαουδική Αραβία, οι Η.Π.Α. και τα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα. Στα μάρμαρα είναι κυρίως οι Η.Π.Α.
