Franchi Umberto Marmi, fatturato 2022 in forte crescita

Franchi Umberto Marmi S.p.A., leading international company in the processing and trading of Carrara marble, listed on Euronext Growth Milan announces that total revenues as of December 31, 2022 ammounted to EUR 75.8 million, with an increase of 16%, compared to the same period of the previous year, with a significant recovery in sales in Italy, Middle East and the Unied States.

In particular, as of December 31, 2022 sales made in Italy increased by +8% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR 29.4 milion, equal to 39% of total sales for the period.

Worthy of note is the strong jump in sales achieved in the Middle East which as of December 31, 2022 reached an amount equal to EUR 12.9 milion with an increase of 154% in the same period of 2021, representing about 17% of total sales for the period.

Sales in the United States, as of December 31, 2022, recorded a significant growth, equal to 23%, compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR 7.7 million.

In China, the result achieved as of 31 December 2022 is substantially in line with the same period of 2021, with sales equal to EUR 15 million (-2% compared to 2021).

The significant results achieved regarding the increase in sales on the domestic market and
especially on international markets confirm the solidity and soundness of the Company’s
commercial strategy focused on monitoring international markets and on high quality Carrara marble products such as Calacatta and Statuario.

The Statuario showed exceptional performances, reaching a sales value equal to EUR 24.5 milion at December 31, 2022, with an increase of 49% compared to the same period last year. At December 31, 2022, also Calacatta showed an increase of 15% compared to the same period of 2021, reaching EUR 20.5 million in revenues. Overall, Statuario and Calacatta contributed to over 60% of slabs and blocks sales achieved during 2022.

The combination of beauty, naturalness and brightness that distinguish Carrara marble and the significant advantage brought by its low environmental impact compared to other building materials, has guaranteed the acquisition of new market shares. Looking ahead, the outlook remains positive also thanks to the availability of marble coming both from owned quarries and from supply contracts. In thishistorical period characterized by the shortage of certain
raw materials, these characteristics represent an evident and significant competitive advantage for our company.”
