The President also ordered a ban on the import of finished marble slabs, advocating instead for the initiation of new investments and industry-wide reforms. These measures aim to bolster national production and reduce reliance on foreign imports.

Furthermore, President Tebboune encouraged officials to raise the investment threshold in the marble sector, highlighting its potential as a significant source of foreign currency and a provider of employment opportunities for young Algerians.

This strategic move is expected to strengthen Algeria’s position in the global marble market while fostering economic growth and job creation within the country.
