Η πρόσφατη απόφαση της κυβέρνησης των Η.Π.Α., για επιβολή δασμών στις εισαγωγές χάλυβα και αλουμινίου από την Ε.Ε. το Μεξικό και τον Καναδά, έχει αναστατώσει την διεθνή αγορά ενώ εκφράζονται φόβοι για επέκταση και σε άλλα εισαγόμενα προϊόντα.
Το Stonenews.eu, κατόπιν έρευνας στα στατιστικά δεδομένα του International Trade Centre και των Εθνικών Στατιστικών Υπηρεσιών, παρουσιάζει στον παρακάτω πίνακα τα μερίδια της αξίας εξαγωγών γρανίτη και μαρμάρου, των χωρών μελών της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, του Μεξικό και του Καναδά προς τις Η.Π.Α. όπως αυτά διαμορφώθηκαν το 2017.
Όπως βλέπουμε και στον Πίνακα, το μάρμαρο κυριαρχεί στις εξαγωγές προς τις Η.Π.Α. ενώ από τις χώρες – εξαγωγείς ξεχωρίζει η Ιταλία. Συγκεκριμένα μεγαλύτερος εξαγωγέας ακατέργαστου και επεξεργασμένου μαρμάρου είναι η Ιταλία την οποία ακολουθούν ο Καναδάς, η Ισπανία και η Ελλάδα.
Στον ακατέργαστο γρανίτη μεγαλύτερος εξαγωγέας είναι με μεγάλη διαφορά ο Καναδάς ενώ στον επεξεργασμένο είναι η Ιταλία την οποία ακολουθεί η Ισπανία και ο Καναδάς.
