Με δηλώσεις του ο πρωθυπουργός του Freundel Stuart επιβεβαίωσε ότι ξεκινά το πρώτο εξάμηνο του 2017 η κατασκευή του νέου ξενοδοχείου Hyatt Centric Resort στη νότια ακτή των Μπαρμπάντος.
Η κατασκευή του, 237 δωματίων, ξενοδοχείου θα κοστίσει περίπου 100 εκατομμύρια δολάρια και είναι ένα μεταξύ των μεγάλων έργων τουρισμού που θα τεθούν σε λειτουργία τον επόμενο μήνα για να τονώσουν την πάσχουσα οικονομία της χώρας.
Το έργο ήταν προγραμματισμένο να ξεκινήσει νωρίτερα αλλά λόγω των τοπικών αντιδράσεων καθυστέρησε η κατασκευή του. Η παρέμβαση του πρωθυπουργού φανερώνει την βούληση της κυβέρνησης για υλοποίηση μεγάλων τουριστικών υποδομών.
Οι εισαγωγές επεξεργασμένου μαρμάρου και γρανίτη του Μπαρμπάντος
Το Μπαρμπάντος εισάγει επεξεργασμένο μαρμάρου και γρανίτη κυρίως από τις Η.Π.Α. η Ιταλία και η Τουρκία ενώ η Ελλάδα δεν έχει παρουσία στην συγκεκριμένη χώρα.
