Italian Stone Exports to China Surge in 2024

According to the latest data from the Confindustria Marmomacchine Study Center, Italian exports of stone materials and stone processing technologies to China saw significant growth in 2024. Total exports surpassed 258 million euros, marking an impressive 24% increase compared to 2023.

Natural stones led the surge, reaching a value of 247.6 million euros—an increase of 22.7%. Meanwhile, exports of machinery, equipment, and tools for stone processing grew by 23.9%, totaling 10.9 million euros.

A closer analysis of stone material trends reveals that raw materials dominated exports, with 229.1 million euros shipped, reflecting a 27.2% growth. However, finished and semi-finished products faced a decline of 14.7%, dropping to 18.5 million euros.

This growth underscores China’s strong demand for Italian stone materials and processing technologies, reinforcing Italy’s position as a key supplier in the global stone industry.
