According to the latest figures released by the Confindustria Marmomacchine Study Centre, Italy’s exports of stone materials and stone-working technologies to Saudi Arabia experienced a remarkable surge in 2024, exceeding €120 million. This represents a 47.7% increase compared to the previous year, underlining the growing demand for Italian stone products and technologies in the Saudi market.
Natural stone exports led the charge, reaching a total value of €96.2 million—an impressive 38.5% increase from 2023. Meanwhile, exports of stone-working machinery, equipment, and tools more than doubled, jumping by 100.6% to €24.3 million.
Within the natural stone category, finished and semi-finished products made up the bulk of exports, amounting to €85 million—up 38% year-on-year. Raw materials also saw a notable rise, with exports increasing by 42.1% to €11.2 million.
This upward trend reflects the solid reputation of Italian craftsmanship and technology in the stone industry, as well as Saudi Arabia’s continued investments in construction and luxury infrastructure projects.
