  • Monitoring global trends and harmonizing national Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) within the sector

  • Establishing and overseeing a future international Product Category Rule (PCR) for natural stone

  • Assessing the feasibility of developing a Global EPD

  • Drafting the NSSA statute along with its strategic and operational framework

The joint ambition of the participating organizations is to officially establish and register the NSSA in the United States by the first quarter of 2026. In pursuit of this goal, a plenary meeting has been proposed to take place during the upcoming Marmo+Mac trade fair in September 2025. All major international stone industry associations will be invited, with the objective of formally approving the founding statute of the alliance.

This initiative marks a decisive step toward global integration and growth of the natural stone sector, laying the foundation for a more unified, sustainable, and strategically aligned future.
