“The Galician Council of Technical Architecture wants to be present in forums that promote more sustainable and efficient construction. That’s why we strongly believe in the value of this Summit as a meeting point between technical knowledge and innovation in natural materials,” says Manuel Rañó Rodríguez, President of the CGAT.

Meanwhile, José Ángel Lorenzo, Secretary General of the Granite Cluster, emphasizes that “natural stone has a lot to contribute to contemporary architecture and sustainable construction, and this agreement allows us to strengthen the ties between industry and professionals such as technical architects to move forward together in that direction.”

From the Slate Cluster, Severino González Álvarez highlights that “the Summit provides us with a unique platform to showcase the possibilities of slate as a contemporary building material, which has many qualities we need to promote.”

The agreement includes various initiatives such as the organization of technical seminars, participation of renowned experts, professional visits to quarries and processing plants, and the promotion of the event among the CGAT’s 2,500+ members.

With this partnership, Stonegal 2025 strengthens its integrative spirit and its commitment to positioning Galicia as a hub for innovation, knowledge, and sustainability in the field of natural stone.
