In the first 9 months of 2023, Turkish exports of marble, granite and natural stones decreased in value – compared to the same period in 2022 -, by 10.13% (for a total value of approximately 1,441 million US dollars) and decreased by 14.65% by volume.
It should be noted that the top 2 countries of destination of Turkish exports China (-1.20%) and (USA -22.94%) represent about 42.2% of the total value of all Turkish natural stone exports (about 608 million US dollars).
Interestingly, the average price per ton of total Turkish natural stone exports (US $ 306.37 per ton) it increased by 5.4% compared to the same period last year.
Recall that last year the “final” average price per ton of natural stone exported was: India (US $ 158.1 per ton), Portugal (US $ 254.4 per ton), Turkey (US $ 292.1 per ton), Brazil (US $ 612.4 per ton), China (USD 806 per ton) and Italy (USD 970.4 per ton).
