Since the pandemic outbreak, imports of processed marble, granite and ceramics are steadily rising while breaking records set in previous quarters and years. At a difficult time for the global economy and trade, the rise recorded by the largest importer of processed marble, granite and ceramics is limiting the losses of supplier countries.

The second quarter of 2022 saw growth and record imports of all three materials. The table below depicts the changes in import value and import quantity between the second quarters of 2021 and 2022 and the first and second quarters of 2022.
