The country will be represented by 57 companies in the Brazilian Pavilion, reaffirming its global leadership as the holder of the greatest geodiversity on Earth and the leading supplier of natural stones to the United States.
The Brazilian participation in Coverings, the largest coverings fair in North America, which takes place from April 29 to May 2 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando (USA), reaffirms the country’s role as one of the leading global suppliers of natural stones. In this edition, the Brazilian Pavilion will bring together 57 companies from 6 different states, in a collective space located on the North side of Hall A.
Presented by the project It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone, developed by the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), the pavilion was designed to reflect the potential and elegance of Brazilian materials. Hanging gardens on the central frontage will add a touch of freshness to the ambiance. The result will be a space with a light, clean, functional atmosphere, which highlights the colors, textures, and shapes of natural stones. The architectural project was designed by architect Rômulo Pegoretti, an expert in Brazilian natural stones, with technical support from Nós Engenharia.
In 2024, Brazil exported US$ 1.26 billion in natural stones to 125 different countries, registering an increase of 12.7% compared to the previous year. The main importing market, the United States, accounted for 56.3% of exports – an increase of almost 17% compared to the previous year. For the president of Centrorochas, Tales Machado, the fair is an excellent opportunity for Brazil to keep playing its leading role in the business relationship with the country led by Donald Trump.
“Taking our production chain into account, the trade balance between Brazil and the United States is strongly positive for Brazil. In 2024, they imported US$ 678.4 million in natural stones from Brazil, accounting for more than half of the total amount we exported, with Brazil holding its position as the main local supplier. This performance underlines the strategic importance of our presence at Coverings and the business relationship between the two countries, which improves supported by the quality, geological diversity, and high value added of our materials,” says Machado.
With 57 exhibitors, the Brazilian Pavilion will bring together companies from 6 different states: Espírito Santo (51), Minas Gerais (02), São Paulo (01), Rio de Janeiro (01), Paraná (01), and Ceará (01). Representatives of the companies and Brazilian and foreign authorities will meet on April 29, at 12 noon, for the opening ceremony of the Brazilian Pavilion. “The building of this collective space allows us to present, in a strategic and organized way, Brazil’s potential as a reliable and competitive supplier of natural stones to the U. S. market,” says Thiago Fukuda, the manager of It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone.
