As a hub of stone beauty and application, Xiamen Stone Fair has been dedicated in exploring innovative design and revealing trends in cross-industry integration. During March 16-19, 2026 at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center (XICEC), the 6th edition of Xiamen Habitat Design & Life Festival will present a perceptual revolution under the theme of “The Sensory Theatre of Stone”.
Xiamen Habitat Design and Life Festival (XHDLF) is co-organized by Xiamen Stone Fair and International Habitat Interior Design Association (IHIDA), aiming to explore the ideal living space, facilitate industrial development by design and improve the aesthetics of urban life, thereby building a better habitation era. The festival features 3 parts which are Habitat Interior Design Exhibition, Habitat Interior Design Development Forum and Study Tour.
In 2026, XHDLF will unleash the sensory value of stone, infusing living spaces with various ways of perception and emotional warmth. Engage all your senses in an immersive experience of stone’s vitality and join us in reshaping the paradigm of human living spaces.
Exhibition – Habitat Interior Design Exhibition
In the evolution of contemporary living spaces, stone has transformed from a functional material into a vital choice for creating immersive multi-sensory experiences. The Exhibition will channel abstract power into humanity’s most fundamental perceptual experiences by using stone as a medium, so as to reconstruct the relationship between people and materials in human habitats.
The chief curator of Habitat Interior Design Exhibition 2026 is Steve Leung, collaborating with global leading designers including Andrea Bonini, Woody Yao, Ray Wong, Gu Teng, Cui Shu, Jaco Pan and David Liu.
Forum – Habitat Interior Design Development Forum
The Forum in 2026 aims to deconstruct the narrow framework of traditional material narratives and shift toward multi-sensory expressions. It will explore how design can endow stone with greater emotions, how its physical properties can be transformed into sensory experiences, and how multi-dimensional construction can foster deep connections between humans and all things.
Study Tour – Exploring the Essence of Stone
The study tour of XHDLF is customized for designers to meet their needs. Through the field trip to stone companies and processing center in person, designers are able to get a comprehensive and deep understanding of the stone industry from stone raw blocks, processing to finished product. In the past five years, the study tour has attracted thousands of designers to visit over 40 stone companies in China, fully connect designers with stone manufacturers.
