Komatsu introduces the new WA170M-11 wheel loader, expanding its loader lineup in the 9-10 ton operating weight category. This new model, developed and manufactured in Hanover, Germany, was unveiled to the public for the first time at Bauma 2025.
With an operating weight of approximately 10 tons, the WA170M-11 is a versatile machine capable of handling a wide range of tasks — from demanding projects as a multi-application loader to standard earthmoving jobs.

Easy to Transport, Flexible Size
It can be quickly transported to the next construction site without the need for a special platform and operates even in confined spaces. With a low height of just 3 meters, it can be transported by conventional trucks with loading heights up to 4 meters. Its length of 6.5 meters allows transportation by trucks and use in narrow job sites.
Powerful
Equipped with a 4-cylinder Komatsu 96 kW diesel engine, the new WA170M-11 loads, lifts, and pulls nearly anything encountered on the job site. The engine meets the EU Stage V emission standard and is fueled with environmentally friendly HVO fuel.
Excellent Road Performance and Operator Comfort
The dynamic behavior of the new model is impressive. Thanks to its low center of gravity, the machine remains stable on the ground. The new premium air-suspended seat with integrated control console offers exceptional comfort. A joystick-type steering controller is optionally available. A rearview camera is standard equipment for full all-around visibility.
Versatile
The new WA170M-11 is available with two different arm connection systems. In addition to the classic Z-kinematics, Komatsu now offers Tool Linkage kinematics, known from larger models, for the first time in this category. Tool Linkage is ideal for heavy attachments that are frequently changed. This enables flexible use of the machine with existing attachments for a variety of tasks. The new loader can be equipped with high-flow hydraulics, additional control circuits, attachment management, or a tow hitch.
Reliable and Durable
The new diesel particulate filter, which only needs replacement every 6000 hours, enables long-term and uninterrupted operation. Exhaust aftertreatment is fully automatic without work interruption. Stable and robust, with all maintenance points centralized and easily accessible from the ground under a foldable engine cover. As with all Komatsu compact wheel loaders, the cab can be tilted up for quick access to all components. All key functions are displayed on the machine monitor, and the Komtrax fleet management system is offered free of charge.
