The continued rise has driven Brazil’s first quarter of 2022 marble exports to record levels in both value and quantity. The increase was achieved by a surge in unprocessed marble exports, mainly to China. Exports of processed marbles declined, mainly due to a drop in exports to the United States.

In granites, the decrease compared to 2021 is due to processed granite exports the U.S. declining. Exports of raw granite increased due to an increase in exports to China.
