The Carrara Marble District continues to thrive in international markets, as confirmed by the latest monitoring report from the District and Hub of Tuscany, prepared by Intesa Sanpaolo’s Research Department.
During the first nine months of 2024, exports reached an impressive €582 million, marking a 10.7% year-on-year increase. The United States remains the top importer, followed by China and Saudi Arabia.
According to the report, growth has been recorded across all segments, including raw marble, processed stone, and quarry machinery. The overall positive performance of the Carrara Marble District has contributed to a 7.3% increase in the sector. Notably, the export of processed marble saw a significant rise in the first half of the year, particularly to the top three markets.
This upward trend highlights the continued global demand for Carrara marble, reinforcing the district’s strong position in the international stone industry.
