What has Israel imported more in the last decade, finished marble, granite products or ceramics?

Israel is one of the largest importers of finished marble, granite and ceramics in the world. However, how did the imports of these products start in the last decade?

Imports of finished marble, granite products and ceramics from Israel have risen sharply in the last decade. Specifically, between 2011 – 2020, imports of finished granite products increased by + 163.11%, marble + 51.82% and ceramics + 47.21%. In the Chart that follows we see comparatively the course of the value of imports of finished marble, granite products and ceramics of Israel between 2011 – 2020.

In the Graph we see the dominance of ceramics over finished marble and granite products and the steady upward trend of all three materials over the decade. We also note that imports of ceramic and finished marble were not adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic unlike granite which recorded a fall.

Israel is the main supplier of finished marble products to Turkey, granites to China and ceramics to Italy, Spain, Turkey and China.
