A Modern Take on Cultural Heritage

Conceived by the architectural team TremeEats, the project reinterpreted the traditional Greek ouzeri—a historic symbol of hospitality, gathering, and dialogue—into a sophisticated design environment. Rather than presenting natural stone as a static material, the installation brought Greek marble to life, transforming it into an interactive element of everyday culture and social connection.

The initiative successfully bridged the multi-millennial legacy of Greek marble with contemporary design trends, reinforcing its position across international markets and modern architectural applications.

Strategic Organization & Industry Synergy

The presence of the Greek Marble Ouzeri at Marmomac 2026 was jointly organized by Enterprise Greece and the Greek Marble Association as part of the overarching national strategy “GREEK MARBLE | Then. Now. Forever.”

This joint initiative highlighted the ongoing commitment to bolstering the global recognition, extroversion, and export capacity of Greek companies operating in the natural stone sector.

The project was made possible through the support of key industry sponsors and leading Greek marble producers:

  • Crystalmar

  • Dermitzakis (Greek White Marble)

  • Dionyssos Marble

  • F.H.L. Kiriakidis Group

  • Iktinos Hellas S.A.

  • Marmyk Iliopoulos

  • Marble Sachanas

  • Pavlidis Marble Fine Granite
