In 2023, Turkish exports of marble, granite and natural stones decreased in value, compared to 2022, by 7.63% (reaching a total value of approximately 1,936 million dollars) and decreased by 12.12% in volume.
It should be noted that the top 2 countries of destination of Turkish exports China (+3.21%) and USA (-15.37%) represent about 42.4% of the total value of all Turkish natural stone exports (about 821 million US dollars).
Interestingly, the average price per ton of total Turkish natural stone exports (US $ 307.04 per ton) it increased by only 5.2% compared to the 2022.
Recall that, in 2022, the average final price “in US dollars” per ton of exported natural stone was: India (USD $ 158.1 per ton), Portugal (USD $ 254.4 per ton), Turkey (USD $ 292.1 per ton), Brazil (US $ 612.4 per ton), China (USD 806 per ton) and Italy (USD 970.4 per ton).
