Focus on Marble and Natural Stones

The main interest of the meeting was in the construction materials sector, specifically marble and natural stones. Zeki Ozdemir highlighted that the delegation included a carefully selected group of Turkish companies specializing in natural stones and eager to invest in the Qatari market.

With a 100-year chamber tradition, Sivas is a central hub of Turkey’s production sector, hosting a wide network of export-oriented companies looking to expand into growing markets in the Middle East.

Market Dynamics

This collaboration comes at a time when Turkey is consolidating its position as a leading global supplier of natural stones. Turkish marble exports have shown significant growth in 2025, according to Stonenews, reflecting the continuing demand for high-quality materials in international markets.

Qatar as a Strategic Partner

Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari described Turkey as one of Qatar’s most important trading partners. He emphasized the Qatar Chamber’s commitment to facilitating Turkish companies’ entry into the local market by leveraging the country’s advanced infrastructure and the investment opportunities available in free economic zones.

The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration in the marble and natural stone sector, opening new avenues for investment, joint projects, and knowledge exchange between Turkey and Qatar.
