Brazilian Exports 2022: up in value and down in quantity

According to the latest statistics from Centrorochas, Brazilian exports in the first ten months of 2022 increased in value by 3.95% compared to the same period in 2021, reaching over 1,127 million dollars. On the other hand, foreign sales were not positive in quantities that decreased, in the same period considered, by 6.47% compared to the first ten months of 2021.

Interestingly, 82.4% of all Brazilian exports of ornamental stones come from the State of Espirito Santo and during the first ten months of 2022, the average price per ton of total Brazilian natural stone exports (US $ 605.57 per ton) increased by 11.15% compared to the same period last year.

Recall that last year the final average price per ton of natural stone exported was: India (US $ 135.9 per ton), Portugal (US $ 234.6 per ton), Turkey (US $ 269.0 per ton), Brazil (US $ 556.5 per ton), China (USD 712.2 per ton) and Italy (USD 931.3 per ton).

The Brazilian export of natural stones remains essentially concentrated in 3 countries. If we analyze the exports of October, we note that Brazilian exports went to the USA for 63.6% (US $ 73.7 million), followed by China for 9% (US $ 10.4 million) and Italy for 7.7% (US $ 8.9 million).
