  • First Trimester 2020 – Fourth Trimester 2020
  • First Trimester 2020 – First Trimester 2021
  • Fourth Trimester 2020 – First Trimester 2021

In the table below we see the changes (%) of the value of exports by supplier country and time period:

In the table we see that India and Spain are the only countries that recorded an increase in exports in all three periods. We see that China has managed to overcome the shock of the outbreak of the pandemic and the lockdown by rapidly increasing its exports in the Fourth Quarter 2020. Between the Fourth Quarter 2020 and the First Quarter 2021 we observe the large decline in Chinese exports and the very small of Italy which was expected given that the last three months of 2020 was the period with the highest exports.

China with a ratio of about 99% in finished granite recorded the highest value of exports from other countries in all three trimesters. It is followed by India with 63% finished granite and 37% blocks and slabs, Brazil with 79% in finished granite and 21% blocks and slabs, Italy with 95% finished and 5% blocks and slabs and finally Spain with 73% finished and 27% blocks and slabs .
