The General Assembly of Confindustria Marmomacchine, the leading association for the marble, granite, natural stone, and processing technology sector, was held in Milan.
Renewal of Governance
The assembly saw the renewal of the association’s governance for the 2022/2024 term. Gianluca Pellegrino (Basaltina Srl) was elected President, while Francesco Antolini (Antolini Luigi e C. Spa), Nicoletta Caruso (Marmi e Graniti d’Italia Sicilmarmi Spa), Alessandro Ferrari (Tenax Spa), and Flavio Stenico (Steinex Srl) were appointed Vice Presidents.
Minister Urso’s Address
A highlight of the assembly was the address by Hon. Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The Minister emphasized the stone sector’s importance to the Italian economy and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to its support.
Focus on Growth and Internationalization
The assembly also featured a panel discussion titled “Growth and Internationalization Amidst Complexity and New Global Equilibria.” Moderated by Honorary President Flavio Marabelli, the debate included Federico Bricolo (President of Veronafiere), Lorenzo Galanti (Director General of ICE Agency), and Cons. Amb. Alessandra Pastorelli (Head of Office II – Directorate General for Country Promotion at MAECI).

The General Assembly 2024 also celebrated the 40th anniversary of Confindustria Marmomacchine’s founding. Forty years of dedication to supporting, promoting, and protecting the sector at both national and international levels.
