The first two days of the 60th edition of Marmomac are pointing to strong international business activity, with attendance reported above 2025 levels, a high share of qualified visitors and more than 3,200 B2B meetings already scheduled.

According to Marmomac, international operators account for 65% of exhibitors and 66% of visitors at this year’s edition, with professionals from more than 140 countries represented across the exhibition.

The figures underline the international profile of Marmomac as a meeting point for the global natural stone industry, while also highlighting the importance of the event as a platform for commercial contacts and market development.

A highly international business audience

One of the key indicators emerging from the first two days is the strong international composition of the exhibition audience. With two-thirds of visitors coming from outside Italy, Marmomac continues to bring together companies and professionals from a wide range of established and emerging markets for natural stone.

The quality of the business audience is also reflected in purchasing responsibility. Marmomac reports that 80% of visitors have a direct role in purchasing decisions, indicating a visitor profile closely connected to commercial and sourcing activities.

For exhibitors, this creates opportunities not only to present materials, technologies and services, but also to establish direct contacts with potential buyers and partners across international markets.

More than 3,200 B2B meetings

Business matchmaking is also playing a central role in the 2026 edition.

In cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and Confindustria Marmomacchine, Marmomac has selected business contacts according to the needs of exhibiting companies. The programme includes buyers from markets that are already important destinations for natural stone and stone-processing exports, alongside contacts from markets identified as offering new business opportunities.

More than 3,200 B2B meetings had already been scheduled during the first two days of the exhibition, providing a concrete indication of the scale of commercial activity taking place alongside the exhibition floor.

The geography of natural stone demand

Beyond visitor numbers, the international composition of Marmomac 2026 offers an indication of how the geography of natural stone demand is evolving.

The combination of established export markets and new potential destinations reflects an industry increasingly focused on identifying diversified sources of demand and expanding international business networks.

For natural stone producers, processors, technology companies and other industry suppliers, such contacts are particularly relevant at a time when market conditions, construction activity and international trade flows are reshaping opportunities across different regions.

At this stage, however, the figures represent an interim picture rather than a final assessment of the 60th edition.

With Marmomac continuing through September 25, the final attendance figures and overall business results will provide a more complete basis for assessing the exhibition’s international reach and commercial performance compared with 2025.

For now, the first two days point to a Marmomac strongly focused on international business, qualified buyers and the expansion of commercial connections across established and emerging natural stone markets.
