The first 4 months of 2024 were positive for Italian exports of slabs and processed natural stones.
In the first 4 months of 2024, the value of Italian exports of slabs and finished products increased by 2.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Exports of these products to the United States (1) increased by 7.9%, in France (3) by 13.7%, in Saudi Arabia (4) by 76.8%, in United Kingdom (7) by 6.8% and in Australia (8) by 22.9% while they decreased in Germany (2), by 13.9%, in Switzerland (5) by 12%, in the United Arab Emirates (6) by 5%, in Austria (9) by 5.9% and in Morocco (10) by 22.3%.
It’s important to remember that in the first 4 months of 2024, the Italian export of slabs and finished products in the top ten Buyer Countries was 69.8% of the total exported of these products, in this period (more than 526 million euros). The Italian exports to the United States (1) were about 3.6 times the exports to Germany (2) and about 3.7 times the exports to France (3).
