 Stonenews.eu presents the statistical data of the imports of raw marble and granite of Italy for the period 2015 – 2019. In the Chart that follows we see the evolution of the imports of the last five years.

In the Graph we observe that Italy imports more volumes of granite and less volumes of marble. We also see the declining trend of granite and the marginal stability in marble imports.

Volumes of Marble

Between 2015 and 2019, Italy’s main suppliers of marble volumes according to the value of imports, were the USA, Iran, Namibia, Turkey and Brazil. In the chart below we see the main suppliers of Italy during period 2015 – 2019.

In the first half of 2020 Italy’s main suppliers of marble in terms of import value were Turkey, the USA, Namibia, Brazil and Iran. Marble volumes imported from the USA have the highest price per tonne.

Granite Volumes

 In the granite volumes between 2015 – 2019, the main suppliers of Italy, according to the value of imports, were Brazil, Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe and France. In the chart below we see the main suppliers of Italy in the period 2015 – 2019.

In the first half of 2020, Italy’s main suppliers of granite blocks in terms of import value were Brazil, Mozambique, South Africa, France and Zimbabwe. Granite volumes imported from Brazil have the highest price per tonne.
