Meliá Hotels International announces its first hotel in Montenegro, near the millenary city of Budva.

Meliá Hotels International continues to extend its presence and global leadership in the resort hotel business with the opening of new markets. The latest example is the recent addition of a new hotel on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro, a destination currently enjoying a tourism boom, allowing the company to strengthen its already dominant position in the Mediterranean.
The hotel will be operated under the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand and is located in the municipality of Budva, an ancient city on the Adriatic founded by the Greeks in the 5th century and often compared to the popular city of Dubrovnik. Budva is not only one of the greatest cultural attractions in the country, it also boasts some of the best beaches in Montenegro, including the famous turquoise waters of Petrovac, a booming family tourism destination and home to the future Meliá Budva, scheduled to open this summer.
The popularity of the destination has also grown over recent times thanks to an increase in leisure activities, sports, restaurants and nightlife, making the resort a Mediterranean holiday paradise.
Meliá Budva is one of the new hotels in Petrovac and will provide 114 rooms, swimming pools, sundecks, children’s club, various dining options and The Level service, an attribute of the Meliá brand which features superior rooms and a range of exclusive services for guests seeking a more premium experience.

New Radisson hotel signed in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Radisson Hospitality AB, publicly listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, Sweden and part of Radisson Hotel Group, is proud to announce the signing of a new Radisson hotel in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The Radisson Hotel & Apartments Abidjan Plateau signing brings the group’s Africa portfolio to 86 hotels and almost 18,000 rooms in operation and under development.
Abidjan is one of the most populous cities in Africa and the largest business hub in the Francophone Africa. Radisson Hotel & Apartments Abidjan Plateau will be located on the Boulevard de la République in the heart of the Plateau – the central business district – allowing easy access across the city for guests visiting for business and leisure.

The 152-room Radisson Hotel & Apartments Abidjan Plateau is a new construction and scheduled to open in 2021, offering 122 standard rooms, 24 one-bedroom apartments and six two-bedroom apartments. Other facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a sky bar and fitness room. The city’s largest conference space will have eight meeting rooms over 1,000 sqm area.

Adding a third property to its portfolio of luxury resorts in Vietnam, Anantara Hotels and Resorts has announced the development of its newest villa retreat which is scheduled to open in late November 2018. Located in a secluded bay in south central Vietnam, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas will comprise 26 one and two bedroom ocean facing villas ensconced amidst 7.2 hectares of landscaped tropical gardens.
A creative collaboration between HB Design and Marques and Jordy (M&J) architectural firms, Anantara Quy Nhon is designed to seamlessly blend into the natural environment. Locally sourced materials, traditional craftsmanship and regional influences are discretely incorporated into the resort’s contemporary design. Spacious villas with their sleek timber and granite sundecks, minimalist plunge pools and extended low overhang roofs have a fresh, contemporary feel. Vietnamese blue stone keeps the look of the common areas vernacular while granite and marble elements introduce a touch of modernity.
