Piraeus Port Authority signs Memorandum of Understanding with Guangzhou Chinese port

Another important strategic partnership was founded on September 12, with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) SA and Guangzhou Port, one of the 10 largest commercial ports in the world.

The MOU was signed by the CEO of PPP SA, Capt. Fu Chengqiu, and the general manager of Guangzhou Port, Chen Hongxian.

The areas of cooperation referred to in the Memorandum are staff training, the exchange of know-how and information, and the development of initiatives to protect the environment.

According to the PPA, the key objective pursued through the strategic cooperation between the two ports in these areas is the implementation of best practices in port management that will facilitate the development of trade and the supply chain.

It is recalled that PPA SA has signed similar memoranda of cooperation with the ports of Shanghai and Qingdao.
