According to the latest statistics available, the export of Portuguese stone products in the first nine months of 2022 reached the figure of over 374 million euros for about 1.6 million tons, with an increase, compared to the same period in 2021, of 14.22% in value and -4.5% in quantity.
The average price per ton exported in the first nine months of 2022 stood at 235.02 euro/ton, showing an increase of 19.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
57% of Portuguese natural stone exports go to the European market, while the extra-European market represents 43% of the total exported.
If we consider the main destination countries, we see France in the first place (+ 11.28%), followed by China (-31.23%) and Spain (+ 37.82%).
