Marble İzmir is preparing to open its doors to the world for the 32nd time at Fuarizmir from 13 to 16 April 2027. Efforts are also underway to further strengthen Marble İzmir as a major industry meeting point and a platform where developments in design, architecture and technology can be followed alongside commercial connections. Increasing the visibility of design and creative production at the fair is another key focus of preparations for next year’s event. These efforts aim to bring architects and designers into closer contact with the fair while highlighting the diverse applications and design potential of natural stone.

Efforts are continuing to expand Marble İzmir’s international exhibitor and visitor profile through engagement with industry organizations and companies across different markets worldwide, particularly in Europe, the United States and the Far East. These efforts aim to bring more industry professionals from around the world to İzmir, create new business connections and further strengthen Marble İzmir’s position within the international natural stone industry.

As part of these efforts, cooperation is also being developed with Confindustria Marmomacchine, one of Italy’s prominent organizations in the natural stone industry. Contacts with Italian industry representatives and companies aim to develop new exhibitor connections for Marble İzmir.

As part of these activities, the Marble İzmir delegation will meet with industry representatives in Italy to establish direct contact with potential exhibitors, strengthen existing relationships and increase the fair’s visibility in the European natural stone market.

Marble İzmir continues to strengthen its established role in bringing together natural stone producers, industry professionals, architects, designers and international buyers in İzmir. In 2026, the fair welcomed exhibitors from around the world and Türkiye, while attracting more than 50,000 professional visitors.

One of the initiatives supporting the fair’s strong industry focus is the International Natural Stone Design Competition, which encourages the use of natural stone in design. In 2025, the competition brought together young designers from 12 countries and 66 universities, receiving 892 design submissions. The selected designs showcased different applications of natural stone while creating opportunities for young designers to connect with the industry.

Strong exhibitor and visitor interest is expected to continue at Marble İzmir, with the fair set to bring industry professionals from different markets together in İzmir once again. Preparations are continuing to further develop the scope of the fair through exhibitor and visitor development, international promotion, industry partnerships, as well as initiatives in design and architecture.

Türkiye, which holds approximately one-third of the world’s natural stone reserves, has a strong production and export capacity in the natural stone industry. Marble İzmir contributes to showcasing this strength internationally while creating opportunities for new business connections and bringing together different stakeholders across the industry. In 2027, the fair aims to further build on this strong foundation and strengthen its role as an international meeting point for the natural stone industry.
