South Korea’s finished marble and granite products import growth: January to April 2020

Following our previous report on South Korea’s finished marble and granite products import growth during the 1st quarter of 2020, Stonenews.eu, after collecting, studying and editing the statistical data provided by the International Trade Center (ITC) and the Korean Customs and Trade Development Institute (KCTDI),  is presenting the country’s finished marble and granite products imports growth in the first four months of 2020, compared with last year’s same period of time as well as the last four months of 2019, examining the value and the quantity of exports.

As seen at the picture above, finished marble products imports of South Korea moved upwards in the first four months of 2020 compared with last year’s same period, both in value and quantity of imports, following the upward trend of the 1st quarter. On the contrary, finished granite products imports suffered a rather great decline both in value and quantity of imports.

No big changes for granite imports when compared to the the last four months of 2019, while marble imports, on the other hand, recorded marginal losses, both in value and quantity of imports in both cases.

It is worth mentioning that, in the first four months of 2020, South Korea managed to import finished granite products of € 135.75 million worth and finished marble products of € 43.14 million worth.
