Volvo Trucks: The Next Generation of Sustainable Transport

Volvo Trucks will showcase the latest advancements in construction transport, focusing on technologies that contribute to reducing emissions and enhancing energy efficiency.

Volvo Trucks’ strategy is based on three key pillars: electrification, hydrogen, and renewable fuels. This approach enables customers to significantly lower CO2 emissions while maintaining high levels of productivity and performance.

  • Volvo Trucks leads the electric truck sector, holding a 51% market share in Europe and 40% in North America.
  • Over 4,900 electric trucks have been delivered worldwide, with a significant portion serving the construction industry.
  • A range of construction transport trucks, including tippers, mixers, dump trucks, cranes, and hook lifts, will be showcased.
  • Volvo Trucks will also highlight low-emission alternatives with trucks powered by biogas and HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil), which are already certified and available on the market.
  • The Volvo FH Electric 6×2 and Volvo FMX Electric 6×4 will be presented at Bauma 2025.

“I am very proud that we offer the widest range of electric trucks for the construction industry. A contractor can buy almost any truck in an electric version from Volvo today and be confident in its excellent productivity and performance. Electric transport is well-suited for the construction sector, providing zero exhaust emissions and significantly less noise. This benefits people living near construction sites, those working on-site, and, of course, the climate,” says Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks.

The Volvo Group is the only manufacturer offering both trucks and construction equipment with zero emissions, providing a complete solution for businesses aiming for sustainable growth without compromising efficiency and productivity.
