During the first nine months of 2025, Turkey’s marble industry continued its upward trajectory despite global uncertainties and ongoing challenges in the international supply chain. According to an analysis by Stonenews, Turkish marble exports recorded a significant increase, highlighting the sector’s adaptability and resilience.

These results demonstrate the industry’s ability to adjust rapidly to shifting global trade conditions, leveraging geographic advantages, product diversification, and the flexibility of Turkish companies.

Unprocessed Marble: Stability with Minor Declines

Exports of unprocessed marble totaled $434.73 million and 2.26 million tons, with an average price of $192.66/ton.

Compared to the first nine months of 2024:

  • Export value decreased by –0.84%

  • Export volume fell by –0.62%

  • Average price remained virtually unchanged

The slight decline is mainly attributed to reduced demand from China, the primary destination for Turkish unprocessed marble. However, increased sales to other markets helped offset the slowdown, keeping the category stable overall.

Processed Marble: Strong Growth and Upgraded Market Position

Processed marble exports surged to $987.89 million and 1.92 million tons, marking substantial increases:

  • +17.58% in value

  • +6.70% in volume

  • +10.2% rise in average price, reaching $514.81/ton

This performance reflects the strategic shift of the Turkish stone industry toward higher-value products. Despite declines in certain key destinations, Turkish exporters successfully expanded into new markets, fully compensating for any losses.

Trends and Outlook

The steady rise in processed products signals a mature and evolving industry strategy. Companies in the sector are increasingly focusing on:

  • advanced know-how and technology,

  • exports of finished products,

  • diversification of export destinations,

  • operational flexibility in a fluid global environment.

These factors strengthen Turkey’s position as one of the most stable and influential pillars of the global natural stone trade—an outlook reinforced by Stonenews’ latest findings.
