Following our previous report on the US finished marble and granite products imports growth in February 2020, Stonenews.eu is presenting the country’s finished marble and granite products imports growth in the 1st quarter of 2020, compared with last year’s same quarter as well as exactly the previous quarter in 2019.

As seen at the picture above, there was an overall downward trend both in finished marble and finished granite imports during the first three months of 2020 compared with last year’s same period. Granite suffered more than marble in value and quantity of imports, keeping the price per tonne closer to its previous level. The decline was even bigger in the comparison with the last quarter of 2019, both in finished marble and granite products imports, with value and quantity of imports to be hit although the price per tonne moved upwards.
