Following our previous report on US finished marble and granite imports growth in January 2020, Stonenews.eu is presenting the rates of the above in February 2020, compared to January 2020 as well as to February 2019.
As seen at the table above, January’s downward trend continued in February, too, both in marble and granite imports, as the coronavirus spread impacts started to be prominent in transportation, construction, trade and other sectors. Granite products suffer the greatest loss both in value and quantity in February compared to January, while marble recorded bigger decline in value of imports.
When compared to last year’s February, though, finished marble products show marginal increase in value, corresponding to a 9.33 % uprise in quantity of imports. Granite imports on the other hand are still in decline.
