At the 2025 edition of Marmomac, Confindustria Marmomacchine confirmed its position as a key reference point for the entire Italian marble and stone machinery supply chain, reaffirming its role as an institutional hub and a bridge between companies, institutions, and international stakeholders in the sector.
The Association Meeting Point, traditionally located at the center of Pavilion 2, served as a genuine crossroads of relationships, meetings, and strategic visions on the prospects and future of the industry for four intense days. High-level discussions took place here with Italian and foreign institutional representatives, technical deep-dive sessions, and valuable networking opportunities with member companies.
Among the most significant moments was the signing, on the inaugural day, of the agreement between ICE and the Mineral Industry Development Institute (MIDI) for the creation of a Technological Center in Ethiopia, as well as the establishment of the Coordination and Control Committee for the Technological Center in Algeria. Both projects were supported by the Association, demonstrating Confindustria Marmomacchine’s ongoing commitment to internationalizing Italian know-how in the stone processing sector.
On the same day, the Association, represented by President Gianluca Pellegrino, participated in the inaugural panel of Marmomac 2025, attended by the Minister for European Affairs Tommaso Foti, the Governor of the Veneto Region Luca Zaia, the President of ITA – Italian Trade Agency Matteo Zoppas, and, naturally, the President of Veronafiere Federico Bricolo, who welcomed participants on behalf of the host.
Subsequently, several coordination meetings were held with MAECI and ICE to plan training and technical activities in Ethiopia and Algeria. Numerous meetings followed with institutional delegations from Ghana, Iran, and Pakistan, as well as with representatives of the Udaipur International Centre for Visual Arts, reflecting the Association’s continued focus on collaborations between Italy and the main natural stone-producing and processing countries.
Considerable attention was also given to dissemination and technical discussion moments: the “MARMOintelligente” seminar – promoted and organized by the Association in collaboration with Technical Partners Maxfone, Schneider Electric, and Siemens – and the participation in the “Marble and Circularity” session, featuring interventions by President Hon. Flavio Marabelli and Eng. Paolo Marone of IS.I.M., explored innovation and sustainability in the stone industry.
The fair days were also enlivened by more informal but equally valuable encounters, such as the networking aperitifs “The MARMOMACCHINE Hours”, which provided opportunities for dialogue and relationship-building among companies, institutions, and sector operators, in the spirit of a community founded on cohesion and continuous development.
During the course of the event, Confindustria Marmomacchine took part in the official establishment of the NSSA – Natural Stone Strategic Alliance, in various discussion moments organized by PNA – including the presentation of the new sectoral EPD Italy – and in the EUROROC General Assembly, confirming the Association’s active and recognized presence in the main international bodies of the sector.
Finally, media coverage was significant: interviews and appearances on TG1, Il Sole 24 Ore, and Telearena highlighted the key topics of the event, emphasizing the role of the Italian stone sector and Confindustria Marmomacchine as a privileged interlocutor for the promotion and protection of the supply chain.
