Brazil’s natural stone industry has taken a significant step toward expanding its global footprint with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Centrorochas and Abu Dhabi Ports (AD Ports Group). The agreement establishes the Brazilian Natural Stone Hub in the United Arab Emirates—an important logistics and promotional base designed to increase the visibility and distribution of Brazilian stone products throughout the Middle East.

The initiative reflects Brazil’s strategic push to improve international market access for its natural stone sector, which is recognized worldwide for its quality, diversity, and innovation. By anchoring operations in Abu Dhabi, Brazilian exporters will benefit from advanced logistics infrastructure and an advantageous geographic position linking markets across the Gulf region, Asia, and Europe.

To better understand the facilities that will support the Hub, a technical delegation visited Khalifa Port, one of the region’s most modern and strategically positioned ports. The visit provided an in-depth look at the advanced infrastructure and operational capabilities that will help streamline the movement of Brazilian stone materials.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at Kezad One and was attended by key representatives from both sides. Fátima Mohammed Noorl Al Hammadi, Chief Commercial Officer of Kezad Group, and Fabio Cruz, vice president of Centrorochas, formalized the agreement that will guide the implementation of the Hub. Their presence underscored the shared commitment to deepening trade relations and fostering new opportunities for Brazilian stone producers.

Also present was Ilson Hule, Director of Commercial Strategies at AD Ports Group, whose coordination played an essential role in making the partnership possible. His involvement highlighted the strong institutional support behind the project and the importance placed on developing high-potential trade corridors.

The agenda concluded with a visit to the logistics facilities of Armazéns in Mussafah. The delegation evaluated available spaces that may become the future home of the Brazilian Natural Stone Hub, ensuring the chosen location will offer the operational efficiency and capacity needed to support the sector’s expansion.

With this new Hub, Brazil positions itself to further elevate its presence in the Middle Eastern market, boosting competitiveness, facilitating trade, and strengthening international cooperation in the natural stone industry.
