HELLENIC MARBLES GROUP SA was founded in 1987, by Mr. Ioannis Birros, founder of Pirgon quarry, one of the biggest white marble quarries, with an established worldwide clientele. The company currently owns 4 marble quarries: Pirgon, Hermes, Danae and Ares. The company uses their extensive quarrying experience to provide the market with an adequate and consistent supply of high-quality materials. Additionally, the company can provide their clients with processed materials such as slabs, tiles and cut-to-size, from their fully equipped facilities.
HERMES QUARRY is located in the area of Volakas, Drama, in Northern Greece, a well-known area for its high quality marble deposits. The company’s goal is to expand its production capacity over time and provide the market with unique products of both high quality and adequacy.
DANAE QUARRY is located in the area of Granitis, Drama, in Northern Greece, at an altitude of 789 meters. Quarrying operations started in 2016 as a result of an extensive research program and started its full operation in 2017. Danae marble is categorized in various types of white marble: Ariston,Venus, Galaxy, Cielo, Venato and Nuvo.
ARES QUARRY is located 35 kilometers from the city of Drama, in Northern Greece. Drama is famous for its marble throughout the world, being one of the main suppliers of natural stone, in various types and categories. Ares quarry is one of the company’s most recent acquisitions that enriches their range of products, with a stylish and durable material in different types of grey marble.
