Stonenews.eu, following their research on the statistic reports of the International Trade Centre and the National Statistical Institutes, is presenting the Finished Natural Stone Products Japan imported most in 2017 with reference to the HS Codes.

Since 2013, Japan has been reducing their Finished Natural Stone Products imports for almost all HS Codes. Between 2013 and 2017 the total import value declined for -40% and the quantity for -35%.

Out of Finished Natural Stone Products that Japan imported in 2017, Finished Granite Products with HS Code 680293 are standing out, as happened in previous years.

The table below shows in brief Japan’s Finished Natural Stone Products imports  της Ιαπωνίας referring to the variation in value, quantity and price per ton between 2016 and 2017 as well as the shares in total import value and quantity in 2017.

As seen at the table, in 2017 Japan imported with higher price per ton comparing to 2016, the HS Code 680291 for +5,17%, the 680300 for +12,65%, the 680223 for +15,9% and the 680210 for +32,4%. On the contrary, Japan imported with lower price per ton the HS Code 680293 for -2,57%, the 680299 for -1,76%, the 680292 for -1,32%, the 680221 for -6,34% and the 680229 for -2,28%.

In conclusion, it is worth saying that China is Japan’s almost exclusive supplier of Finished Natural Stone Products.
