Following our previous report on Germany’s finished marble and granite products imports growth in the first four months of 2020, Stonenews.eu is presenting the country’s finished marble and granite products imports growth in the first five months of 2020, compared with last year’s same period of time as well as the last five months of 2019, examining the value and the quantity of imports.
Germany’s both finished marble and granite products imports followed a negative growth during the first five months of 2020, both in value and quantity of imports. Finished marble products imports value suffered a greater decline than granite, when compared with last year’s same months, while the decrease in the quantity is equal. However, finished granite imports value was cut by one third.
The picture is the same in both products imports value when the comparison is made with the last five months of 2019: finished marble imports decreased more than granite’s. As for the quantity of imports, the marble again had the greatest fall. However, all rates are smaller than the ones of the comparison with last year’s first five months.
