Italian Exports of Raw Natural Stone in the first four months of 2023

The results of the first four months of this year for Italian exports of raw natural stones are negative. In fact, in the first four months of 2023, Italian exports of “raw materials” decreased by 8.3%% in value compared to the same period in 2022.

China remains the top buyer but with decreased imports by 19.2%. Meanwhile, India is in second place, increasing its imports from Italy by more than 17.6%.

Egypt ranks third in the import of raw materials (+34.5%), ahead of Germany (-5.1%), Algeria (+53.3%), Saudi Arabia (+174.3%), France (-13.8%), United States (-30.7%), Switzerland (-22.7%) and Tunisia (-15.7%).

During this period, China imported about 46% of all exports of Italian raw materials and about 3.2 times the values imported from India.
