Archmarathon, the international architecture event that brings together design studios from various countries around the world and boasts attendance by more than one thousand visiting architects, have launched a collaboration project to promote and valorise natural stone in architecture.
This year was dedicated to Stone and the winners were chosen among ten international architecture firms from Italy to China, from Spain to Egypt, from France to Portugal. The winners of the 2019 edition are:
- Emilio Tunon for Casa Piedra en Caceres, Spain
- Dar Arafa Architecture for Basuna Mosque
- Marco Ciarlo Associati for House on the sea, Bargeggi, Italy
together with a special mention for the GOA studio for the Muh Shoou XIXI project in China.
