A nine-member delegation from the All Pakistan Marble Industries Association (APMIA), supported by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), actively participated in the renowned Marmomac Marble Exhibition & Fair held in Verona, Italy, from 23 to 26 September.
Led by APMIA Chairman Bilal Khan, the delegation benefited from pre-departure coordination and support provided by the Trade & Investment Counsellor from the Embassy. On-site, B2B meetings with key Italian partners were successfully organized.
Marmomac is the world’s leading platform for cooperation and exchange in the natural stone industry. Pakistan’s participation highlighted the country’s rich marble resources and its growing potential in the sector. Pakistani White Marble in particular drew admiration from visitors.
A key engagement at the margins of the fair was a B2B meeting between the Pakistani delegation and Flavio Marabelli, Honorary President of Confindustria Marmomacchine, the Italian Association of Marble, Stone, and Machinery Manufacturers. Discussions focused on technical cooperation, technology transfer, and skill development. Mr. Marabelli warmly accepted the invitation to visit Pakistan extended by APMIA Chairman Bilal Khan.
The delegation also held separate meetings with leading Italian machinery manufacturers, including Kedda and Biesse, exploring potential joint ventures and enhanced market access for Pakistani marble.
Pakistan’s participation at Marmomac 2025 strengthened institutional and B2B ties with Italian counterparts, opening concrete avenues for sustainable collaboration in the marble sector.
