In the heart of the Crestola Quarry in Carrara, Franchi Umberto Marmi hosted the unique event “Wunderkammer” on September 18, 2025, transforming the marble quarry into a stage of light, sound, and collective discovery.
The evening brought together clients, partners, and friends from the world of marble, offering an experience where history and contemporary creation intersect in a remarkable dialogue. The art direction was led by Danae Project, who transformed the quarry into a space where light and forms interact with the past engraved in marble, creating a dialogue between memory and innovation.

The atmosphere of the evening was shaped by Martinelli Luce, Emiliana Martinelli, and Filippo Tincolini, whose expertise and aesthetic vision contributed to an unforgettable experience. Tincolini’s works, made from recycled materials, combined with the evocative power of the site, creating a dialogue between fragments, gestures, and shapes.

The Glou Glou, Pipistrello, Multidot, Cyborg Big, and Biconica Pol lamps by Martinelli Luce crossed the quarry, highlighting its unique dynamics and offering a new dimension to the relationship between light and marble. As emphasized by the organizers, the goal was “to give shape to what still exists in stone and in light, rather than to rebuild what has already existed.”

Wunderkammer was not merely an exhibition, it was an evening where natural material, art, and design united in a ritual of creation and shared experience.
